More or less?
Choose by amount despite changing sizes and layouts.
Try this taskCompare quantities, learn a rule, remember a count.

The bee challenge makes quantities compete with misleading size and spacing. You compare dot groups, infer a more-or-less rule from rewarded examples and apply a colour-coded arithmetic rule after the sample disappears.
The arithmetic task uses blue for +1 and gold for −1. Remember the number of dots as well as the rule. In the rule-learning task, zero is a quantity too: an empty set can be the right answer when the examples favour fewer items.

Try this taskThree tests with five rounds each. You have one life: every round must be correct. Tests become harder automatically, from Light through Medium to Demanding. Before each test, take your time with the rules and example. Choose relaxed or sport tempo; the clock starts when you start the task.
Open one task and read its goal and example before starting. Training lets you choose the task profile and tempo.
Each task has five rounds. Training allows one wrong round; one-life challenges require all five to be correct.

These are original game tasks, partly inspired by animal cognition research. The research notes link to the original papers and explain how our game ideas relate to them. Read the research notes.
