One life. Twenty different tests.
A mixed challenge across the animal kingdom.
What you will do
The Kingdom Run draws 20 different tasks from the current pool of 27 games across nine animals. It balances the animal selection and shuffles the order. There are no repeated tasks within a run, and adding future animals will enlarge the pool without lengthening the run.
Each test has five rounds. In this one-life mode, every round must be correct. The difficulty rises after every five tests, moving through Light, Medium, Demanding and Expert. Rules appear before each new test; observation and answer timers begin only when you start it.
A failed round ends the run. Your record counts completed tests, not individual rounds. Progress and records stay in this browser. After a result, you can share a challenge link so someone else gets the same task selection and settings. Switching languages or reloading restarts an active attempt.
What to watch for
- Practise an unfamiliar task before starting a mixed run.
- Read each new goal, especially when a task’s question changes at a higher level.
Before you play
Do tasks repeat?
No. A run contains 20 different tasks. A new run can have a different selection and order.
Can I practise a task first?
Yes. The games guide links to individual tasks in training, without starting a Kingdom Run.
The idea behind the games
These are original game tasks, partly inspired by animal cognition research. The research notes link to the original papers and explain how our game ideas relate to them. Read the research notes.
